Rénoclimat program

Changes made to the Rénoclimat program as of May 1st, 2024

To further support Quebecers in their energy-efficient renovation projects, the Rénoclimat program was recently modified to focus on work carried out on the building envelope. These changes aim to encourage homeowners to improve the energy efficiency of their homes while benefiting from specialist advice from energy advisors.

The main changes to the program from May 1, 2024 are as follows:

• Increase in financial assistance: Insulation and waterproofing work, the replacement of doors and windows, as well as the installation of mechanical systems will benefit from a significant increase in financial assistance. Previously, the subsidy was $60 per window or door replaced. From May 1, 2024, the subsidy is increased to $150 per window or door, thus offering greater financial support to owners wishing to improve the energy efficiency of their home.

This increase in the subsidy aims to encourage homeowners to invest in more energy-efficient windows and doors, thereby helping to reduce their energy consumption and heating bills, while benefiting from better thermal comfort in their home.

To benefit from these subsidies, owners must register with the Rénoclimat program and call on qualified contractors to carry out the eligible work. The program's specialized advisors can also provide personalized recommendations to maximize the energy efficiency of your home.
